Bobby Finke is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in distance freestyle events. He was born on May 6, 1999, in Tampa, Florida. Finke attended the University of Florida, where he swam for the Florida Gators swim team.
Finke rose to prominence in 2021 when he won two gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics in the 800m freestyle and the 1500m freestyle events. He also set an American record in the 1500m freestyle with a time of 14:39.65.
Finke is known for his endurance and ability to finish races strongly with his signature strong closing speed. He is considered one of the top distance swimmers in the world and is expected to continue his success in future competitions.
